Don't re-invent the wheel of failure
There's a reason why those who are very successful invest time in learning from the mistakes of others. Unless you are on the forefront of complex research or problem solving, someone has most likely faced your problems before or at least have undertaken similar projects. There is no reason to be egotistical when it comes to risk and no reason to be proud of failure that didn’t need to occur. You should begin your road to success by identifying as many known risks as you can from others.

Sometimes it can be helpful to draw inspiration from those in different fields. Sometimes a new perspective can challenge assumptions and invigorate life into a project. By utilising expertise that we may not have ourselves we can identify opportunities that we could not previously see. If we approach all our problems in the same way, then we are merely doomed to repeat mistakes.
If I jump down, will I be able to jump back out? |
The reason why machine learning algorithms have become so popular is because they never stop learning. They never stop evolving. They never stop learning from their past mistakes. Unfortunately for us mortals, we don’t have the luxury of performing thousands of generational simulations. Instead, we must carefully plan and ideate our solutions to prepare the best outcomes.
It will jackpot this time for sure! |
There's no need to reinvent the wheel when it comes to failure. If you can learn from the mistakes of others, you can focus your time and energy on the solutions that really matter. Gather as much advice from those who have done it before, so you don’t need to fail where they have.
